The caliber 3185 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. This mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).
This model ref. 16710 replaced the ref.16760 in 1989 featuring a new, but identical functioning caliber and a slimmer design. In 2007 ref. 16710 was then replaced by ref. 116710 that is still in production today.
