This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 14790ST has a mechanical automatic Audemars Piguet caliber 2225 movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 280 components, a shock absorber mechanism and includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance with variable inertia blocks, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring. It has a 22K gold monobloc oscillating weight with ceramic ball bearings, and the bevels on the bridges are diamond graved. It has a stop balance for setting the time.
This mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
