Ancient Roman 20K Yellow Gold Agate Ring
This Ancient Roman intaglio ring is set with an oval cabochon agate intaglio finely engraved with a standing lion. It is circa Second Century AD.
The stone features two natural colors, the upper surface carved to form a lion is a variation of browns, whereas the lower level background is a smooth creamy pale yellow.
Closed back rub-over setting, with smoothly rounded trumpeting shoulders tapering through to a solid D-shape shank.
