The 3135, like all Rolex Perpetual movements, is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision timepieces that have passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute's (COSC) tests. In addition, it features a Parachrom hairspring, which provides increased resistance to shock and temperature changes. As with all Oyster watch movements, its architecture ensures its unmatched reliability.
This mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 revolutions per minute (4 Hz).

B4: The fourth bezel features a pointed 4 and a "Square 5" inscription. The internal corners of the five in '50' are shaped like squares in this bezel.

D4: Round "O" in "Rolex" and 'Oyster Perpetual Date' in a narrow-spaced font. The 'R' of Oyster is positioned between the legs of the Rolex' R.' Narrow 'Swiss Made' with three-minute markers that have been shortened; the 28 and 32 markers have been lengthened.

C1: The case has solid lugs, and model number 16610T is engraved between the lugs. The "T" stands for "Trou Borgne," or "blind hole."
