This brings us to the renowned Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3940, which was powered by a new automatic movement, the caliber 240 Q, developed during the quartz crisis and released in 1985.
Produced between 1985 and 2007, the 3940 is a Patek Philippe enthusiast choice due to its incredibly refined appearance. The extremely thin movement is made possible by the microrotor embedded in the plate, as opposed to a conventional rotor, which would require an extra layer.
