THE ROYAL OAK OFFSHORE DEBUT

The Royal Oak Offshore collection made a groundbreaking entrance into the watchmaking world in 1993. Created by Emmanuel Gueit, the Royal Oak Offshore was an audacious and larger evolution of the iconic Royal Oak, first introduced in 1972 by Gerald Genta. This daring new design set a trend for oversized sports watches, challenging traditional conventions in haute horlogerie.

THE DIAL

The grey petite tapisserie dial exudes sophistication with applied luminous white gold oval hour markers, encircled by an outer white second/minute chapter ring. A black perimeter rehaut with a white tachymeter scale to 500 UPH adds functional elegance. The hands, including rounded baton hour and minute hands with luminous fill, along with a luminous white center sweep second hand with a wedge counterbalance, contribute to the watch's readability. It features three recessed black subsidiary dials with luminous white Arabic numerals, markers, and indicator hands. These include a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 9 o'clock, a running constant small second register at 6 o'clock, and a 12-hour chronograph counter at the 12 o'clock position. 

THE MOVEMENT

Powering this timepiece is the mechanical automatic self-winding Audemars Piguet caliber 4404 flyback chronograph movement. Rhodium plated and adorned with extensive hand perlage and Cotes de Geneve embellishment, the movement comprises 40 jewels, 433 components, an anti-shock system, and a monometallic balance. The 21k open worked gold rotor, signed "AP," oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).  It offers a substantial 70-hour power reserve at full winding.

WATER RESISTANCE

Designed for both style and substance, the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Titanium boasts a water resistance of 330 ft./100 m./10 ATM, ensuring its durability and suitability for various environments.

CRYSTAL & CASEBACK

The sapphire crystal protects the dial from scratches and enhances visibility, while the sapphire crystal display caseback that is engraved with "ROYAL OAK OFFSHORE," and a serial number allows a glimpse into the intricate mechanics of the movement, showcasing Audemars Piguet's commitment to craftsmanship.

Returns & Exchanges
